How long does a treatment session last?
On average our treatment sessions typically last around 30 minutes. Although this can go over that time-frame depending on your individual needs and the type of treatment required. We believe in providing focused, one-on-one care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No, you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist at House of Physiotherapy. You can book in privately and we are happy to work with your healthcare provider to coordinate your care regardless if you have a referral or not.
However, we do accept Health funds and Medicare referrals if you do have one.

What should I wear to my appointment?
We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for ease of movement. For example, if you are seeking treatment for a knee injury, wearing shorts would be appropriate - for a neck or shoulder injury, a singlet. Please avoid clothing that restricts movement or is too tight.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including cash, AMEX, credit/debit cards, and health insurance. We also accept Medicare referrals which can qualify for a rebate. We also offer HICAPS for easy processing of insurance claims.
What should I expect during my first visit?
During your initial visit, your physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment of your condition and medical history to determine the best course of treatment. This may include a physical examination, range of motion testing, and discussion of your symptoms and goals. Based on this information, your physiotherapist will create a customized treatment plan for you.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
The number of treatment sessions required will vary based on your individual needs and the severity of your condition. Your physiotherapist will provide a recommended treatment plan during your initial assessment and will work with you to track progress and make adjustments as needed.
